AGM DECISIONS

The AGM was held on May 27th, and a couple of changes of the structure of the club have been made. Mark Hunt has stood down from all positions previously held. Which included, fixture secretary, treasurer, captain of cradley 1 and solihull 1. Big thankyou fo all Mark's efforts over the past number of years. The club is in a considerably stronger position then it was.

These positions have now been filled, and details are on the committe page.

The number of teams has been altered for the season ahead. We have decided to scrap the Worcester Mens team, this is mainly due to cost and player availability. We have now subsequently decided to add 2 new teams. A mixed into the Cradley League, and a second mens into the solihull league.

PROMOTIONS & PLAYOFFS!

Here's the story so far.......

Cradley Mens 2 were the first Frankley team this year to gain promotion, and they have finished all of their games and remain undefeated. Congratulations to team captain Rob, and all players involved. Fantastic performaces and good luck next year.

Worcester ladies entered a team for the first time in Division 3, and successfully gained promotion by finishing 1st. Some very impressive performances against some decent and well established teams. Congratulations to team captain Hoi Lem and all the ladies involved, and good luck for net year in Division 2.

Birmingham Mens 2 (Div6) finished comfortably 2nd, and were unfortunate to be pipped to the post by a strong Birmingham Chinese team. The team have since challenged the team in the league above and came away with a 5 - 4 victory against Uni-T, which means promotion nmber 3 for Frankley! Congratulated to captain Rob and all players involved again, good luck for next year.

Cradley Mens 1 (Div2) A long season for the Cradley Mens 1sts, and have now completed all their games. Promotion into the 1st Division has now been secured, the final league tables are out and we finished a fantastic 1st, another chamionship and the fourth promotion for Frankley this year. Well done to team captain Mark and all players involved, good luck in the top tier next year!

Birmingham Mixed (Div3) managed to finish 2nd in a very tough league. Towards the end of the season there were 4 decent teams fighting for promotion and we managed to sneak into 2nd. Thus meaning another playoff. This is yet to be arranged, but should be against Solihull and Shirley. Will keep you posted. Well done to Jenny and all the guys who were involved. Good luck for the playoff!

Worcester Vets (Div4) 1st season Frankley have entered a Vets team into the Worcester League, and the old men of Frankley are looking decent. All matches have now finished and we came 2nd in the league! A playoff match was arranged, and played, but unfortunatley came against a very good looking West Mercia team and missed out on promotion this year. Well done to captain Jim and all players involved.

Birmingham Mens 1 (Div3) Finished the year in a very respectable 3rd position, only to miss out by a few rubbers on the playoff position. A very tough league and finished the season in style by defeating Solihull and Shirley in the final match. Well done team captain Dave and all involved, good luck for next year

Solihull Mens Div 1. The Solihull Mens team have been established in the top tier now for several years and slowly progressing. This year the team managed to finish 2nd in the league, and finishing on the same amount of points to the first team. Congratulations to Mark and all who were involved. Hopefully next year will be the year!

Worcester Mens (Div4) Have had a tough year with injuries and player availability, and luck also! Had quite a few 5 - 4 losses. The team managed to pick up wins in the last two games of the season which secured the teams status in the Division for next year, and also finished 3rd in the league! Well done to team captain Rich and the lads.
